2nd House in Astrology
The House of Finance (Dhana Bhava)
- If the Lord of the Hose of Finance is
situated in any of the constellations of the “Yoga-Karakas.” The native’s
financial conditions will be favorable.
- If he, however, remains in any of the
constellations of the Lords of 3, 6,8,11 and 12. The financial conditions
will be unfavorable.
- The “Guna” of the Lord of the House of
Finance should be taken into consideration, while judging results.
- If the Lord of the house of finance is
well situated in “Sthoola”
- If the Jeeva and Sharira of dhana bhava
are also favorable, the natives’ financial conditions will be good.
- Jupiter, the dhana karaka must also be favorable.
- The malefic of the particular Lagna should
have no aspect or conjunction with the house or lord of finance. Further
no malefic should occupy the 2nd house.
- The amount of wealth is determined by the
strength of the planets that are connected with the dhanathipathi. In
gauging the wealth, the special strength of the planet is of greatest
importance. (Jupiter and Mercury are powerful in Lagna Kendra.) The earnings of the native may be
excellent but yet he may not have savings or wealth in store. This type of
native is not considered rich. His earnings may be due to the effect of
the 10th house or the house of karma.
Examples 1:
Suppose a person born in Mithuna
Lagna.
2nd House from Lagna stands
for wealth.
Lord of 2nd House,
Chandra is in Pushyami Saturn’s constellation.
And, Saturn is in 12th
house.
The native
lost thousands by reason of the Bank going into liquidation, where he had
deposited.
Reason: Saturn
is a thamasi and Lord of 8 in addition.
Examples 2:
Suppose a person born in Dhanu
Lagna.
There is no planet in 2nd
house. Lord of 2nd house Saturn is in 12th house which is
Vyayasthana, yet the natives’ finances are satisfactory.
Reason: Lord of 2 Saturn is in
Jyestha- Mercury Constellation.
Mercury is Lord of 7- Saturn
thus gets the influence of the 7th quadrant and we have said that Saturn
in the 7th quadrant is very powerful.
Examples 3:
Suppose a person born in Taurus
Lagna.
Lord of 2nd house is
in the 2nd house itself.
Yet the native has floundered
and his finances are bad.
Reason: Mercury
is in Punarvasu-Jupiter’s’ Constellation and Jupiter to this native is the lord
of 8 and 11.
Examples 4:
Suppose
a person born in Karaka Lagna.
Lord
of 2nd House, Sun is in Lagna, the house of his friend Chandra. In
spite of it, native’s finances are not good!
Reason: Reason for it is that Sun remains in Pushyami
Saturn’s constellation.
Sun
and Saturn are enemies. Further Saturn is the lord of 8, hence native is in
financial difficulties.
Examples 5:
Suppose
a person born in Leo Lagna.
Lord
of 2nd House of Mercury, is exalted in Virgo, Yet natives’ finances
are bad.
Reason: Reason for it is that Mercury is in
chitra-Mars’s constellation.
Mercury
and Mars are enemies.
Examples 6:
Suppose
a person born in Scorpio Lagna.
Jupiter
is in 2 in own sign.
Yet
natives’ finances are not satisfactory.
Reason: Reason for it is that Jupiter has gone
in Purvashada-Venus constellation.
Venus
to this Lagna is not a yoga karaka and he is the lord of 12. Hence the
unsatisfactory state of finance.
Examples 7:
Suppose
a person born in Scorpio Lagna.
Lord
of 2 Jupiter is in Krithika, Sun’s constellation.
Sun
is a yoga karaka for this Lagna, being lord 10th house.
Besides,
Sun and Jupiter are good friends. Therefore Dhana bhava of the native is good.
Examples 8:
Same
Lagna (Libra) of two different persons.
Lord
of 2nd Mars for both is in their own houses.
The
finance of 1st is bad and 2nd is good.
Reason-In 1st Dhanasthanapathy Mars
has gone under Vishakha-Jupiter’s constellation. Jupiter is not a yoga karaka
to this Lagna. And further, Jupiter is the lord of 3 and 6.
In
2nd Dhanasthanapathy Mars, is in Jyestha-Mercury’s constellation. Mercury
is a Yoga karaka for Libra Lagna and so good finances of native.
