The 7^th House in Astrology is a house of matrimony

If malefic planets (pertaining to the Lagna) occupy the 2^nd, 4^th, 7^th and 12^th House, the chances of the native getting married are remote. If however, these planets become pure in their “Gunas” the adverse effects are nullified. Especially the 7^th and 2^nd Houses are important for determining about the matrimonial affairs. Even if these Houses were to be occupied by the malefic planets the marriage mat take place, provide the Lords.

When the Lords of 7^th and 2^nd Houses are situated in the constellation of the Lords of 3, 6, 8, 11 and 12^th House unhappiness, sickness of the married, early death of the wife, matrimonial strife, and separation of the couple are the results.
